Have you ever heard the saying that everything is never just about you? Being the oldest of five this saying has always been said throughout my life, but how does this apply to just one person surrounded by billions of people? Mitch Albom, the author of the novel ” The Five People You Meet in Heaven”, goes to explain this by saying, “That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind”. In the novel the main character, Eddie believed that he did not matter on earth. And his “routine”, making sure the rides were safe, did not matter. But it did because him taking care of the rides saved hundreds of children lives. Every person on earth is connected to each other. No one is existing by themselves, therefore everything is not always going to be about you. One small choice or decision you make today could cause an even bigger impact on a different person tomorrow. You just bumping into someone on the sidewalk could’ve just altered their whole day. But you wouldn’t know because it was such a small change in your day. No decision in life goes unnoticed because someone could experience the outcome in the long run. It’s like everyone here in this life has a place or a role to sustain. No life is significant than the other. In this society every person and their decision is valuable.
